For Immediate Release
Award Ceremony of Community Education - Scrammble Tournament
May 12, 2006, Somers, NY - The first 'Community Education - Scrammble Tournament' was successfully completed on May 6 and 7th, 2006 at the Mahopac Public Library, Mahopac, NY. Although it is a tournament with only local participants from New York and Connecticut, residents within 50 miles; the tournament was conducted rigorously like a national tournament anticipating future growth. Judges were invited to oversee the games. The participants have all followed the rules without any incidence. The audience was most cooperative knowing that maintaining silence was essential. The most notable thing was that everyone involved had enjoyed the event. Some came back for the second day to watch. The scores were tallied twice to determine the winners. The volunteers and supporters of the event were all expecting that the next Tournament will be a much bigger event.

A demonstration game of Scrammble War played by some of the winners and children from the audience in the studio added more fun to the ceremony. The entire studio recording and some of the video shots of the Tournament was converted to a one-hour TV show right after the ceremony. Anyone who is interested in watching this show, please check the Scrammble Tournament web site, http://www.scrammble.us for airing time.
